THE NEED FOR CHANGE IN NIGERIA COME 2015 BY HON. ABDULRAFIU ABDULRAHMAN During Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo administration Nigeria witnessed growth in all sectors be it education, economic, life and properties, health, banking because he had vibrant and brilliant brains of the likes of El- Rufai, Oby Ezewekeli and others in his cabinet and because of the retrieving economy this gave Obasanjo the courage to move a motion of contesting for the 3rd term in office because he was fear to give the power to non visionary. Obasanjo tried his best of given it to a visionary, late Musa Yar Adua but as nature would have it, Yar Adua gave up and Jonathan used all he has to become the first recognized citizen of this great nation. Since Jonathan emerged has president of the federal republic of Nigeria the 7 point agenda his late master was piloting which are: power and energy, food, security and agriculture, wealth creation and employment, land reforms, mass transportation and education are all jettison. With the few months last Musa Yar Adua spent in office Nigerians felt the breath of good and quality leadership and when he died Jonathan promised to continue the good agenda of Yar adua but when he emerged as the president the story changed immediately all he was promoting was transformation. Since Jonathan emerged as the president of Nigeria and while promoting his transformation agenda what Nigerians are witnessing are increasing in petrol price, embezzlement and corrupt, celebrations of the corrupt ones with national awards, removal of the patriotic Nigerians from office and lots of vices have been rotting the Nigeria society. Boko Haram have killed thousands and are still killing daily the Nigerian masses, yet Jonathan said he knows does behind it without providing adequate measures to curb the insurgences. Since Jonathan knows does behind it and he can’t curb them that is a clear evidence that he is part of their sponsor or he is a useless government?. His wife make the case worst, she ordered the arrest of the leaders of the protests of bring back our girls accusing them of belonging to book haram and also of fabricating reports of the abduction to smear the government, yet the girls are not back. She also went ahead to broadcast on air to warn people protesting against Boko Haram It is disheartening, during this Jonathan regime unlawful and unconstitutiona l acts are publicly carried out by the president, the withdrawal of Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal’s security aides is a shameful act, distasteful, unlawful, unconstitutiona l and shown that Jonathan administration is an administration without political foresight. Part of the unconstitutiona l act of Jonathan is the removal of the democratic structure in the three state of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe because they are opposition party, so Jonathan did this in order for his party PDP to devise undemocratic way to win election in 2015. Vibrant, dedicated and intellectuals Obasanjo had during regime gave Nigeria the laudable achievement we had then and we are truly “giant of African “. But with the likes of Doyin okupe, Ruben Abati and others Mr. President is working are just compounding the current administration problem because they are not ready to tell him the truth, because if they do so they are out office. And they prefer the money they are making than the interest of a progressive Nigeria. As we approach 2015 election there is need for Nigerians to understand the change we need and we should disconnect from the lies that Goodluck Jonathan name as a correlation with his emergence as the president. All we need in 2015 is a citizen who is a revolutionist, one worthy in character, a sage, a politician with foresight, man of honour and virtue, someone who transform Nigeria economic to tiger economic and lastly a God fearing candidate who can make the change Nigerians need.
