*******THE NEW DAILY NUGGETS******* “TIME TO STEP UP OUR GAME!” It is unfortunate that many dreams, ideas, and goals, die with the person who never fulfilled them. Think about the great writers who never completed their book. What about the great business plans that were never put into action, or the great inventions that remained in the head of the inventor, or the solutions that were cast aside by those who allowed others to convince them that their ideas weren’t realistic or good enough? It is important that we realize that God is with us at all times on this journey and will never leave or forsake us. He wants to see us fulfill our dreams, reach our goals and accomplish the desires of our heart. In fact, Jesus is our biggest and most consistent supporter and is always standing on the sidelines cheering for us to win. Therefore since we have such a Great Cheerleader on our side, I believe that it is time we step up our game. If there is something that we truly want to accomplish in life then we should never allow anyone or anything stop us from accomplishing it! However, we must also realize that sometimes our biggest obstacle is overcoming procrastination and our unwillingness to step up our game. For example, I enjoy writing and because God has given me a gift of communicating well on paper, this is what I do---and do well. And even though I have been told that there is a book in me, I just began writing it this year, after putting it off for so many years. Anybody know what I am talking about? I realize that the only thing that was holding me back was me and the only thing that is going to guarantee my success is when I step up my game. It is important we realize that we cannot share our gifts and talents with anyone from the grave. In stepping up our game we need to continue to surround ourselves with positive people who will cheer us on and encourage us every step of the way. We must watch out for the unfaithful, unbelieving, and unwise people in this world who talk as though they are with us, but are secretly praying for us to fail. Most of all, we must be determined to go forward and never settle for anything less than victory. Let me conclude by saying this; never let anyone convince you to get into a game that you don’t enjoy, are not interested in, and are not good at, because life is too short. Therefore I suggest to all of us that we do what we do best---do what we enjoy---and do it to the best of our ability by stepping up our game!
