THE NEW WAY TO GO!!!!! By Genshak Golak. Its high time I put on a proper and serious lenses of partisanship in the pursuit of a viable democratic change in this country. If you are still there basking in the euphoria ofwe should not be partisan”,we should instead see beyond party lines”we should be candidate driven instead of party” we should be this and that... ; For these set of people permit to tell you that you havent woken up to the reality yet. As far as I am concern there must exist a political party first before its candidates. There wouldnt be candidate before a party. The later come first before the former. Hence the responsibility of having corrupt ridden or corrupt free candidate lies squarely on the shoulders of the party. Take for instance, if PDP field in Goodluck today to fly their ticket I will consider it a collective responsibility of all PDP sympathizers that birthed that product. Similarly, if APC field in Gen. Buhari today, I will also consider it a collective effort whether rightly or wrongly of all APC sympathizers that gave birth to that. My argument on wearing a heavy goggles of partisanship now henceforth was informed on the fact that PDP has overstayed her welcome as a party not as the actors involved. On whether they have performed well or not and should be allowed to continue is not the subject matter but whether we will still need an opposition party who bear another name different and fiercely stand to challenge the ruling government is my priority. I am not worried with the actors whether they were PDP or whatever! Infact! let Goodluck himself join the APC today and I can assure you that he will behave different on the simple fact that he is not with the ruling party. You can not tell me that a Pentecostally revered clergy join Catholic and still be shouting messages of the Pentecostal in his sermons, he must definitely adjust to meet the situation that defines that clime. And that hasnt change the fact that there are both corrupt and corrupt free priest in either of the two leading denominations. We need APC at the centre! Whether corrupt or decent. After all is the PDP decent? So why not APC? If you can endure a corrupt and incompetent men in PDP for the past 16years what is so strange in having another type even if it mean the same character in another name who stand oppose to the other? On the argument ofthe devil we know is better than the angel we dont know” and I ask.. Before you got familiar with that your lovely devil, wasnt he an angel before? So what is so criminal in having another angel who might not even be a devil as clouded in your fears? Atleast the later is putting a challenge to the former and as we know statement of commitment in itself is an oath that pricks the conscience all the time. There is no gain saying that he who fails to try will always fail to see new inventions and high tech new discoveries.. APC ALL THE WAY! APC 100%
