THE NIGERIA OF MY DREAMS. Admist the present realities and without readable templates whatsoever, transcending from what is to what ought to be, I aspire for unprecedented possibilities and I choose to see the Nigeria of my dreams. A Nigeria with a basic fundermental core, established on a well structured and highly prized value system that will always be there to guide in the setting and achieving national goals and objectives. A value system arrived at by the unbiased conscious considerations and evaluations of all the elements that constitute our diversity. Thereby bringing to bear in the minds of all Nigerians, the true sense of our common purpose-the only spin for our collective synergy. I dream of a Nigeria that is united above ethnicity, religious bigotry and political differences. A Nigeria where these aforementioned factors do not serve to inform our choice of leadership. I dream of a Nigeria where there is a deliberate scheme in place to harness her human potential so as to create an effective and productive work force. I dream of a Nigeria that has absolute control of her energy source, knowing that therein lies the fate of her destiny. I dream of a Nigeria where education is given a formidable structure with learning modules constantly reviewed to measure up with every current trends and global dynamics in the sector. I dream of a Nigeria where government policies are not born out of the exigencies of the moment nor as a cosmetic approach to achieve the objective(s) of a transient regime. But one where such policies are people oriented, informed by the fundamental objectives of a changeless core value system, void of selfish intentions, not by any means imposed, to be implemented after wide spread consultations, with the present disposition of the state critically considered and the future implications of such policies in view. These and many more are the dreams I have for Nigeria. Call me a dreamer if you wish, but I have the understanding that all things are created twice. Keep breathing, and one day you would wake up to this reality. I however dare you, to stake out your claim now in this noble course by believing in the emergence of a New Nigeria which you are already a part by default. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
