THE NIGHT HAS A THOUSAND EYES (1962) was Bobby Vees fifth top ten hit. It was written by Benjamin Weisman, Dorothy Wayne, and Marilyn Garrett and produced by the legendary record producer Snuff Garrett. Released in late 1962, it peaked at #3 on the Billboard Top 100 in #2 on the Easy Listening survey, and #9 on the R&B singles chart. It also reached #3 on the UK charts in March 1963, and was included on his 1963 Liberty Records album, The Night Has a Thousand Eyes.. Vee sang the song in the 1963 British rock n roll movie, JUST FOR FUN, produced by Milton Subotsky and Max Rosenberg, who would later have a string of horror film hits under the Amicus Films aegis. In 2012, Bobby Vee announced that he had been diagnosed with early stage Alzheimers disease. Lets rock back to 1963 and watch Bobby in this clip from JUST FOR FUN... youtu.be/3GQAmTznY2o
