THE ‘O’ IN A JOKE The DNA of a joke is in the absent of its ownership. Jokes are not protected by copyright because they are supposed to be informal anecdote that society use to create fun for a positive outlook of life. Nobody can seriously claim ownership of the source of happiness. What a joke have come to represent is not a sense of ownership but an outlook of life. This state of representation is called the ‘o’ in a joke and it is nothing more than the call for optimism outnumbered by the overdose of enthusiasm because the one who makes a joke is not the one who is expected to laugh but the one who looks forward to spreading it.
