THE PEACOCK ANGEL IN TIBET In Tibet the Peacock Angel appears as Amitabha, the peacock-riding dhyani Buddha of Eternal Light that is identical in many ways to Sanat Kumara. Amitibha’s alter ego in the Tibetan pantheon is Amitayus, the Buddha of Eternal Life, who holds the nector of immortality. The power of Amitabha-Amitayus is the Kundalini fire itself that brings forth both Eternal Life and Light. Like Tawsi Melek, Amitabha is reputed to be King of the World, a role he assumes by incarnating into the physical body of the king of Shambala, the legendary land of immortals in the center of the Earth that flies the Peacock Flag. Shambhala, meaning the “Place of happiness,” is the Heart Chakra of Earth. It is a land divided into eight territories or “petals,” thus making it Earth’s counterpart to the human Heart Chakra of eight petals. And just like our inner spirit and “king” resides inside our hearts, the spirit and monarch of the world resides in a palace in the center of Shambhala. Tawsi Melek as Amitabha IS the King of the World. It is said that soon Tawsi Melek as Amitabha will incarnate as the monarch of Shambhala known as Rudra Chakrin and then spread his spiritual wisdom around the globe while destroying all the opponents of righteousness and truth.
