THE POTTER AND THE CLAY: Foundation Text: Jeremiah 18:1 - 6 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying Arise and go down to the potters house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words Then I went down to the potters house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter : so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potters hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. GOD wants to do 3 things to us: 1. GOD wants to Mold us that is to mean: A. He wants to give us form to shape us for His Kingdom. B..He wants to make us as an Ornament (like what we have upon our Christmas trees) from our nature we have come from this Earth (the Ground) We are soft crumbly. We see things as surface value because we came from the ground (the surface of the Earth) C. He wants to construct our Framework for Heaven and the New Jerusalem in itself. D. He wants to design and to fix our sinful pattern 2. GOD wants to Transform us which means; A. He wants to change our way of thinking B. He wants to change our inward man C. He wants to change our character D. He wants to Regenerate - Renew - Revive us unto Him & Finally 7 things GOD wants to make us 3. GOD wants to Sanctify us that means A. He wants to make us Holy (set apart) B. He wants to make us Free from Sin (Purify us) C. He wants to make us Lively Stones built up in a Spiritual House (The Bride of Christ) D. He wants to make us an Holy Priesthood (establishment - Nobility - upper class) E. He wants to make us Secured which means Protected from Danger or harm F. He wants to make us to Enjoy - to take pleasure in Him and the things he has created G. He wants to make us to Known as the Children of GOD or the Elect of GOD
