THE POWER OF PRAYER! Throughout the Bible we can see where prayer was used in powerful ways. Jesus would always leave His disciples to pray to His Father (sometimes all night long) and HE often talked about its importance. Can you imagine or visualize angels passing in circles around the throne of God whispering our names as earthly saints pray for each of us day and night? I can tell you first hand that Julie and I are still able to function because of the prayers of the believers. Just when I feel I cannot go another day, I receive a boost from a saint on Facebook (this happens daily through messages). As I opened my eyes this morning at 04:00 am with a heavy heart I was comforted. I immediately began to pray and asked God to lift those who were sick, dying, and hurting and I know HE heard my prayers. It is written,"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you." (Mark 11:24 ) We must KNOW that our prayers will reach the throne when we sincerely pray and BELIEVE that HE will answer in His own time (sometimes we must accept that His ways are not our ways). "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6, 7) "Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much." (James 5:16) Always pray from your heart and never some rote prayer from a book. God already knows your heart so why not speak your hurts as well as your praises? "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words."(Matthew 6:7) Continue to press on beloved and know HE is faith unto the end. Let us finish this race well together friend and one day so so long from now we will embrace those that we had a hand in bringing to the knowledge of salvation through Christ Jesus, AMEN?!?
