THE PRESIDENT HAS DECIDED TO HELP OVERT GENOCIDE IN IRAQ I am so glad to have listened to the news this morning and hear President Obama order humanitarian help for displaced Iraqi minorities thousands of Christians, and also limited air strikes against these ISIS butchers who have begun a systematic genocide of Christians and Yazidis which number hundreds of thousands. In the mid-1990s after the first Gulf War, I ministered in these exact same areas. These are the ancient Assyrian Christians. They speak almost the same ancient Aramaic language still that Jesus spoke 2,000 years ago. God has heard the prayers of believers for help for their brothers and sisters in Christ there. The front line is now near the ancient city of Erbil in Kurdistan northern Iraq which is more than 7,000 years. One of the 3 oldest cities in the world with Damascus and Jericho. I have wonderful memories of the believers in this place, along with the evangelistic outreach I was involved with. There really was no other choice the president had here to make, and all partisan politics set aside, I am glad we are doing at least this limited action to help these people which include our family in the Lord.
