THE QUEST: Chapter: 15. What did i do wrong now? Was all Victor could say after retrieving from his shock as his thoughts raced in his mind and slowly his heart was cracking,his nightmare had came earlier than expected a few metres away from home felt like some miles away since his feets had became heavy affected by his heart,all the bleedings were makig weaker his joints. Whats wrong my child? MaNsingo asked concernly. Nothing granny just tired Victor lied. Sit down i will make you some juice she said gesturing him to sit on the sofa. Since Victor had come to the village she had never saw him so down and sad like he was currently,and that draw her attention into detecting whatever it was which was bothering him. MaNsingo sat down opposite to Victor and stared directly into his eyes for a moment. Matters of the heart huh? She said and exhaled getting up to sit next to him,ignoring the puzzled look that Victor was giving her. How did you know that granny!? Victor enquired. She smiled and said I have lived,i have seen,and i have expirienced,but most of all i can read you like a book. Now tell granny whats bothering you. All his life Victor had always found it awkward to discuss matters of love with a parent but his granny had became more like a friend to him,and he always felt free to talk to her about anything since she was always eager to give him instructions about marriage and he always supected that his mother had humoured her about his quest. But at this moment Victor felt it hard to utter a word to his granny about how Emily had broke his heart in a blink. Words did not come out as floods of tears appeared in his eyes and maNsingo did not push him to talk,instead she gave him a motherly hug for solace and whispered her favourite words to him. Gods timing is the best my child,nomatter what you face stay prayerful always. Even if it seems like God is not there,keep calling unto him because he is there listening and watching always. So dont let little things to crush your faith in him okay Although the words were so comforting and true but Victor found them all futile as he was tempted to believe the opposite of what his granny had just said. The thought of running away from the village kept on visiting his mind and he wanted to take off the following day,but his heart was fighting hard against the idea,it wanted some answers and most of all it wanted Emily to mend it. Tanya visited him some hours later to throw him more into turmoil. Victor im going crazy i cant sleep,i cant eat. I thought i would let you go off my heart and mind but i cant,I love you please forgive me Tanya said with a sad voice that was making it difficult for Victor to doubt her love,but he was loosing focus. Her face seemed to be transforming because he was starting to see Emilys face while looking at her. No T..t..tanya am the one going crazy here Victor said hitting his head with both his hands trying his best to focus to a person before him. What do you mean? She enquired but he did not answer. I think you should go please we will talk some other time,am not feeling well right now Victor said pointing at the door. When she reached at the door Tanya turned around and throwed a bombshell on Victors laps. Im pregnant Victor,and its yours She said and walked out. Victor felt like somebody had poured freezing water upon his body to wake him up,but words could not come out of his mouth as it remained big opened along with his eyes. It hurted Emily to know that she would have to give away Victor eventually,she could not even bring herself to think about it. Victor had transformed her world,he had made her to feel more at home than she ever was anywhere. He was more of a reason to live for than anything,she wanted to be in those arms for the rest of her life. As the reality of what was bound to happen penetrated her mind she felt an invisible srewdriver piercing harshly into her heart and the pain was unbearable and she felt like dying already. The following morning the family seer came to Emilys mom. The ancestors visited me last night and told me the sacrifice has been found,Emily has fallen in love at last and there is no time to waste. The rituals must start as soon as possible The seer said and walked away allowing not Emilys mom to utter a word to him. Sindisiwe felt like she had won lottery jackpot as she ran into Emilys room to confirm the seers words to her lovely daughter.
