THE REPORT OF THE FAMILY MEETING HELD AT RE-UNION 2013(ON SATURDAY 1ST OF JUNE) WITH THE THEME “THE PORTIONS OF THE LEVITES”. We give immortal praise unto God our father for His love, mercy and grace, may His name be exalted for ever more (Amen). The family meeting started in some minutes after four in the evening with an opening prayer led by Pastor Olowo and the people present at the platform are: Pastor Olowo Segun Pastor Sunday Victor Sis Olugbose Bunmi Bro Adekoya Kehinde Bro Olapade Ebenezer. The minute of the last meeting was read after which some necessary observations and corrections were made. MATTER ARISING REPORT ON THE FELLOWSHIP PROJECT. The campus leader gave God glory for the acquisition of 2 plots of land and stated the present level of the development on the land, which, he said, is still under construction at the foundation level and declared that an adjustment has been made to the plan due to the topography of the land (i.e the sloppy side shall be converted into down below). he also solicited for help from the senior friends. RREACTIONS: Pastor Olowo Segun gave room for deliberation on how the project can move forward and advised that necessary actions should be taken alongside. Mr Peleyeju asked for the number of senior friends who paid in their dues as agreed at the 2012 re-union which was three thousand naira (#3000) and was immediately given answered by Pastor Olowo Segun that majorit did not care to respond to it. Evang, Falaju Tosin stated that #3000 is too small compared to what is on ground and called for an increment and summoned the individual to make a personal pledge which is to be written in a paper and submitted. This idea was supported and there was a call for its adoption and to be at least #5000 while Bro Adebayo Oloyede suggested the act of paying installments and bro Oluwajemirahun Segun advised contacting other senior friends from time to time for assistance and following them up among other contribution. Similarly, Pastor Sunday Victor stressed and urged the senior friends to play a role because if the senior friends fail to build it the incumbent brethren will build it because they are eager to do so, he stated, and commented that re-union should not only be the means of bringing the senior friends together. THE MARRIAGE COMMITTEE. Pastor Olowo Segun gave all glory unto God who has been helping the committee members and he also spoke briefly on the purpose of the committee in the church of God. There after he mentioned the names of the committee members as being asked by Evang Falaju Tosin, the members are Pastor and Mrs Olowo, Pastor Fapohunda, Mr Adedipe Peter, Dec Akegbejo among others. THE EVANGELISM BUS: The campus leader disclosed the present situation of the bus, he announced that the bus is not functioning and that a new engine has to be bought as being declared by the mechanic. He also mentioned amount of the money that have been contributed so far to be around #25,000 and therefore made known the decision of the house to sell it out and spend the money on the church project. REACTION: Mr Arikuyeri Solomon declared that the bus engine is bad and if the bus is to be sold just like that, it won’t be more than #50,000 he therefor advised and suggested repairing it even at a low cost. After series of deliberations on whether the bus should be sold or repaired, the whole house finally agreed on repairing it which will be of better benefit than selling it out at a depreciated value/amount, and the issue of the bus was brought into conclusion by pastor Olowo Segun saying the engine should be priced by some senior friends at Lagos. REGISTRATION OF FELLOWSHIP AND STAFF ADVISER. Bro Adebayo Oloyede briefed the whole house that since Pastor Akorede is no more in the college and some other people are occupied. He however informed everybody that Elder Olupaimo is available and fortunately Mrs Akorede has taking the responsibility to be the staff adviser. ISSUE OF THE FORMER LAND. Bro Adebayo Oloyede stated the condition of the land that the regime who bought it then, released the documents to the man in charge to sell the land, and since then no money has being remitted to the church for the man has only being promising to refund the money but the amount he sold it was not cleared. He therefore beseeched the senior friends to always be around in order to monitor and maintain the church properties. Buttressing on this, Evang Falaju Tosin said there is a mistake of releasing the document to the man and the man has refused to disclose the amount he sold it because the agreement then was to refund the money the land was bought and not to help us sell it. However, after some reactions and suggestions Pastor Olowo Segun advised the present excos to always consult and carry the senior friends along for better contributions and advice to be taken. Mr Arikunyeri Solomon showed great concern on recovering that land and stressed on it that it is possible to have the document back, he also said that the present excos should try to always consult the staff advisers and communicate with senior friends on social network. Pastor Sunday Victor said that the documents can still be retrieved through the surveyor. Concluding the segment, Pastor Olowo ordered that Mr Arikuyeri Solomon with a representative from the regime that bought the land and that fully know the history of the land should make some findings. GENERATING FUNDS FOR RE-UNION Pastor Olowo Segun commented that it is not good enough for the fellowship to be spending its money on re-union and the senior friends should only come and go without contribution, he then asked for what to do in order to relief the burden off the fellowship. REACTION: Pastor Sunday Victor frankly analyzed the total money at hand through registration (for re-union) and thanksgiving not up to the amount that the fellowship has spent and said it is unfair. He however poured out his mind that re-union should be sponsored by them (senior friends) for the church not to spend its revenue for feeding them, he suggested that an account should be opened in which senior friends can deposit money ahead of re-union every yea. This suggestion was happily welcomed by the senior friends and some volunteers wrote their names to sponsor the next re-union. A.O.B Some AOB’s were stated: Pastor Olowo: opening of re-union account. Mr Sunday Victor suggested that the staff advisers with the fellowship treasurer should be the signatories to the account. Evang. Falaaju Tosin stated that the fellowship needs the senior friends more than the time of re-union, this idea was also supported by most of the senior brethren present. Sister Olugbose Bunmi announced the senior friends’ facebook act name, which is (YF senior friends) The motion for the adjournment was moved by Mr Arikuyeri Solomon and seconded by Bro Ogunleye Samuel and the meeting came to an end at 6:26pm.
