THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS IS BLOWING SMOKE? By Edward R. Culvert The budget fiasco is just a lot of posturing. No one in political office wants to take credit for stopping pension checks or Social Security checks. That would be political suicide. This whole budget scenario is orchestrated to make President Obama look bad in the eyes of the public. Let us just do a recap of the events of the past few years. Two years after the election of President Barrack Obama, a Democrat, and a Democratic Congress we have the birth of the Tea Pot Party, or whatever party. They emerged with a lot of gobbledygook and further clouded the issues. Two years after Pres. Obama is elected and the Democrats gained a plurality in the Congress and the pendulum swing positive. Then the Republicans regained control of the Congress. The gains the Obama Administration made in his first two years are trying to be obliterated. The sole purpose of this of this years Republican Congress is to make Obama, and the Democrats look bad. It does not even appear that the Republicans have a viable candidate for 2013. The Republican strategists know that they have no chance. Senator McCain is too old and Sarah Palin is still trying to learn the times table. The game plan is by re-electing Obama and let big business continue to ravish the people. Then, by 2016 out of the shadows will emerge a messianic Republican figure who will lead the country across the desert from Egypt to Freedom Land. Senator McCain will be too old and Sarah Palin would have learned the times table and will be working on Geography.
