THE RHODE ISLAND BLOOD CENTER IS PLEASED TO BE A “TOYS FOR TOTS” DROP-OFF SITE! The Rhode Island Blood Center is teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps in support of their annual holiday campaign, Toys for Tots, to collect toys for underprivileged children in Rhode Island. Blood donors are being asked to bring new and unwrapped toys with them when they come to donate blood. Giving twice is nice!—helping to save lives while assuring a more joyful holiday for local children in need. Drop-offs can be made at any of our 6 convenient donor centers between Friday, November 29th and Wednesday, December 18th Our donor centers are located at: Providence: 405 Promenade St., Providence Warwick: 615 Greenwich Ave., Warwick (Behind the Sleepy’s) Aquidneck: Polo Center, 688 Aquidneck Ave., Middletown South County: 14 Woodruff Ave, Narragansett Woonsocket: Pavilion Center, 2168 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket Westerly: 143 Franklin St., Westerly As a thank you for your continued loyalty and support of the Rhode Island Blood Center and its mission of saving lives one pint at a time, we would like to offer a complimentary service to you this holiday season. You can register your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews – or any of the children in your life – to receive a call from the North Pole. Registration opens on Friday, November 29 and continues through Friday, December 13. Please call 401-453-8383 to add children to the registry. The elves at the North Pole (aka the Rhode Island Blood Center) will contact each child on the registry during the week of December 16th.
