THE RICH FOOL....A SAD SUCCESS STORY Luke 12:16-20 People said he was a success but God said he was stupid and a fool. The definition of that word means to be without sense. No doubt everyone pointed at his wealth, house and status and used him as a water mark of success. However, God points him out as a man with an unsaved soul. This man made four mistakes that so many do who are satisfied with materialism. He thought he would live and live on. His mistakes????? 1. He Mistook His Bank Book For His Bible. 12:18 I will build greater. 2.He Mistook His Body For His Soul. 12:19 Soul, you have many goods.. 3. He Mistook Time For Eternity. 12:19-20 Many years...but this very night... 4. He Mistook God For Being Like Himself. 12:20 Your soul will be required of you Conclusion: Make no mistake about it....Life is uncertain, death is sure, judgment will come to all and Jesus is our only hope.
