THE ROCK N ROLL MARATHON IN LAS VEGAS!!!! I did the half of half marathon, which is 6 1/2 miles, which is more than a 5K run! Im 64 with colitis and a recovering knee surgery, so for my first...this was an accomplishment for me! But I could not have done it without my Team Challenge North Texas teammates, coaches, mentors, my fundraiser supporters, especially my wonderful cousin, Larry Reynolds, and all of you that contributed to my fundraiser so that I could run in Las Vegas for research to cure Crohns & Colitis. It was a tough but amazing experience. Thank you ALL! Next year, I will be able to run the 13.1 mile (half marathon) with lots of prayers and a year of training! Our team stayed at the beautiful Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Oh, and I came home with more money than I went with from playing slots!! So I feel like a real winner all around but completing the run made me a real winner!!! Come run with me and go with me next year!! Thanks again to all that donated and those that gave me the confidence that made me think I could do it, especially my wonderful husband, Eddie Winnett.
