THE ROVER is a great movie. It is tanking at the box office right now because it was completely mishandled by A24, a company which also completely mishandled UNDER THE SKIN. Due to its poor performance, it is being yanked from theaters before anyone even has a chance to see it. It lasted a week in Madison, despite playing in multiple multiplexes. If you have the opportunity you should go see it. Not for the faint of heart, but it is really powerful.
