THE RSFC BIG WEEKEND 2014 WAS A RECORD BREAKING EVENT. We raised the most cash for any charity we have supported since 2002. I would like to thank every member of the team... Alison Graham, Sean Doran, Helen Clowes, Gary Jones, Dave Reddy and David Featherstone who each did a sterling job however special praise should go to Big Alan Robins who pushed the boundary in terms of the staging, his set was amazing. Our video designer and Mexican member Antonio Espania... created some fine work! As usual Banner Ron Connor came through with some great last minute banners. My brother Gary Roberts worked his ass off building sets, calling bingo and selling raffle tickets (nice one r kid). Our favourite scouser Brian Howell worked hard before and during the BIG Weekend with promotion, paintings and Beach Party settings. Finally Mr DJ Gary Price was priceless... comparing two days and three nights pulling it all together and not forgetting his auction skills! Brilliant Gary mate. I applaud each and everyone of them who gave up their time and efforts voluntary. A labour of love. The Park Inn, Kelly and her staff were fantastic. The Saddlers Club, Vickie and her staff equally so. Nothing was too much trouble. Finally everybody who attended and kindly donated and those who donated who could not attend... THANK YOU!! Because of your generosity the National Holiday Fund for Sick & Disabled Children will be receiving a cheque for £7784 plus online donations of £345... A GRAND TOTAL of £8129.00!! ($13409) Whoooo... Hooooo !
