THE SPANISH TAX AUTHORITIES GIVE A SIX-MONTH PERIOD TO REGULARISE FOREIGN PENSIONS WITHOUT SANCTIONS. The Spanish Ministry of Finance and Public Administration will grant a six-month period from January 2015 to regularise foreign pensions without imposing any sanctions, since the Spanish Tax Administration Service has found in the last years taxpayers who were resident in Spain and had been receiving foreign pensions which were not correctly declared for income tax purposes. This measure will affect resident taxpayers in Spain who are paid a pension from a foreign country, whether they are foreign pensioners with residence in Spain or pensioners of Spanish nationality who are returning migrants.
