THE STORY OF HOPE - FED ON DRY BREAD, THEN ABANDONED HOME DESPERATELY NEEDED IN UK OR EUROPE K9Aid received a desperate plea from a lady in Athens, Greece called Marianna asking us to help find a home for this beautiful dog who shes named HOPE, after she arrived on her doorstep 2 months ago having just given birth. Marianna asked around to see if anyone knew who the dog belonged to and found that a shepherd owned her and fed her solely on dry bread. He had disposed of 2 litters of Hopes puppies in the past. The lady who told Marianne this story lived opposite the shepherd and she used to feed Hope whenever she could, as Hope was painfully thin. One day this lady realised Hope was no longer with the sheperd. The shepherd told her Hope had run away. The lady did not believe this story and was told by a witness that the shepherd & his wife had driven Hope to a nearby town and just thrown her out the car & driven off. The lady went to find Hope and found her in a shocking state. She took Hope to the vet and found she had severe malnutrition as well as elevated white blood cell levels and an ear infection. The lady who saved Hope could not keep her, but a friend of hers is currently fostering Hope, but cannot keep Hope for much longer. Hope is a beautiful girl who gets along well with all other dogs, she loves to play and almost never barks. She is approx 2 1/2 years old, very smart and very loving.
