THE THANK GOD I AM NOT LIKE YOU PEOPLE SYNDROME How many Christians can we complain about? How superior can we feel when we compare someones methods against the standard of our methods? How can we possibly stand on a street corner and toot our own horn and thank God that we are not like other churches? How do we think that our works are better than someone elses works? Arrogance and pride is a poor substitute for humility even if you raise someone from the dead or heal a body. You can feed the hungry, sell all you have and give it all away to the poor, but if all you have is pride in how you are better than those who dont compare to your wonderfulness you are merely another Pharisee in modern times. If you think that your fecal matter smells sweeter than someone elses, then your smeller is out of whack. The church (the people) housed in brick and mortar, or under a tree in the Amazon Jungle, or in in a living room in someones home, or in megachurches or with well orchestrated programs or loosey goosey spirit filled wonderment expresses relationships between people and their God. So, go ahead, complain on, and maybe we can be conformed in your image. Selah.
