THE TREE Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the middle of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die. Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: IN THE BUILDING OF THE ARK – TENT OF THE MEETING 1Kgs 6:29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, within and without. 1Kgs 6:34 And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. THE FRUITS TO BEARING Luke 6:43 For a good tree brings not forth corrupt fruit; neither does a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. Ps 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper LIKENED TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD Luke 13:18 Then said he, To what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? Luke 13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. LIKENED TO THE LEVEL OF FAITH Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be you plucked up by the root, and be you planted in the sea; and it should obey you. LIKENED TO THE NEARNESS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD Luke 21:29 And he spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; Luke 21:30 When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now near at hand. Luke 21:31 So likewise you, when you see these things come to pass, know you that the kingdom of God is near at hand. Luke 21:32 Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. LIKENED TO CHRIST LIFE – PERSECUTION Luke 23:29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts which never gave suck. Luke 23:30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. Luke 23:31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? COMPARISON TO THE FRUITS Jas 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brothers, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. THE FINAL PROMISE TO THE OVERCOMERS Rev 2:7 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the middle of the paradise of God.
