THE TRUTH ABOUT ISLAM TOLERANCE! THERE IS NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. (2:256, Hilali-Khan) Many muslims quote this ABROGATED QURANIC VERSE to show to non-muslims that islam is tolerant (BUT INWARDLY, THEY DO NOT MEAN WHAT THEY SAY). Did he disobeyed Allah or he did obeyed him? The following Hadith told us WHERE (he got it) AND WHY the Imam did so: Some Zanadiga (atheists) were brought to Ali AND HE BURNT THEM. The news of this event, reached IBN ABBAS who said, If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allahs Apostle forbade it, saying, Do not punish anybody with Allahs punishment (fire). I would have KILLED THEM ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF ALLAHS APOSTLE, WHOEVER CHANGED HIS ISLAMIC RELIGION, THEN KILL HIM (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9; Book 84; Number 57) Hence the imam did obeyed and followed Allah by practicing the SUNNAH. He perfectly obeyed and followed HIS MENTOR, Islam Prophet (Muhammad Ibn Abdullah), Meccan and Medinan CONQUEROR. So, the difference between heaven and earth, is the difference between Islam and PEACE/TOLERANCE :) :) :)
