THE TRUTH FOR THE CURRENT MALAWI Sometimes you may wonder as what is happening with our judicial system interms of passing sentences to some cases across our country. Last week a ninteen year old chap was slapped with a 7 years imprisonment for managing bedroom activities with his fourteen year old lover who accepted to have given in. That is okay looking at what the consequences of such childishness to the Nation. You may left puzzled as the case you have estimated to attract not less than ten years only to hear that the years are not even more than five years. I know some might start insulting our dear brothers and sisters in judiciary fraternity. No! Do not do that. They have idea. Look at the results of MSCE in prisons. Prisoners nowadays are doing well at MSCE but at cheap fees if any. Technical colleges nowadays are very expensive, go to prison they learn carpentry and basic farming technics. This is why the poor who gets tougher sentences than the rich so as to access cheap education. Whereas the rich who stole millions are quickly freed to continue spending aimlessly to stabalise the circulation of the currency. Thats the simplest form of the whole thing. If it was not the Treza Namathanga Senzani would not have been sentanced for 3 years and her lawyers complaining that it is too much. Gone is Tuesday lets pray for better Wednesday nice retirements.
