When since yuh start walk wid dawg? The man had a dog on a leash and said, Come out, him nah bite yuh. By now, a Caucasean woman was behind me, trying to get out as well. That is a female Rotweiler, she said. Quite young. So a lonely yuh lonely fi mek yuh have female dawg a fi yuh yard? the Jamaican sister persisted. At this point, the man became angry. Nuh mek it sound like dat, he shouted. Next ting yuh mek people believe mi a mess round wid de dawg. Mi nuh mean it so, she consoled, After dem ya people nuh understand wha wi as seh. I do, I piped up truimphantly. So do I, the Causcasean customer said, I understand, the Sri Lankan man said. So it deh now, the man said in despair and we all burst out laughing.
