THE USE OF WESTERN AND VEDIC ASTROLOGY IN - TopicsExpress

THE USE OF WESTERN AND VEDIC ASTROLOGY IN TANDEM........ Greetings friends...I would just like to shed some light on my personal method of application of both Western and Vedic astrology. I have been using both systems for quite some time and what i have found based on my experience is the following. The Sidereal Zodiac seems to correlate with the archetypal experiences that i have investigated with far greater accuracy than that of the Tropical Zodiac...(This however does not make the Sidereal Zodiac the correct....and the Tropical Zodiac incorrect....I am tempted to say that this type of thinking is narrow minded) ...However for me PERSONALLY, I have found the Sidereal Zodiac to correctly correspond with my initial impression before I consult either chart.....for example....more often than not i will meet somebody and observe to myself that I felt that they had a Pisces Asc.....and then I would cast their chart...and in Sidereal it would be a Pisces and in Tropical it would be Aquarius....and in this way I would be able to objectively observe the accuracy of the Sidereal within the framework of my knowledge of the archetypal forces. After numerous of these observations, I changed over to the sidereal zodiac with confidence. Through my contact with Vedic astrology i was introduced to the use of the Sidereal Zodiac...I was already familiar with the lunar mansions through my studies of Medieval (mostly Arabic based) astrology, so the crossover from western to Vedic astrology was not to intimidating for me. Vedic astrology is my first go to method of astrology, however there are some gems in the western system that i do still use. The reason that i still use these is due to my experience of their reliability and accuracy - THESE ARE - the western aspects - mid-points - progressions - and the outer planets (Uranus - Neptune - Pluto). When I use these western tools i use them without the context of tropical or sidereal... SO basically I have found that to ignore the outer planets is unwise...for example the influence of Pluto opposing, squaring, or in conjunction with any planet is very extreme and will undoubtedly have a tremendous influence on the persons experience of apparent reality...the same can be said for Uranus and Neptune. I have also found that in the western, the application of Mars casting a square ahead or behind seems to yield accuracy, the same could be said about Saturn....there are also other western aspects that are worth using that you dont find in Vedic systems (to the best of my knowledge). This was just a brief outline of the astrological method that I use based on my personal experiences. .
