THE WAHALA OF STAYING NEUTRAL AND OF BEING A PUBLIC FACE There - TopicsExpress

THE WAHALA OF STAYING NEUTRAL AND OF BEING A PUBLIC FACE There are over a thousand and four score things I wish I could do, but my job description does not allow me to. My job description confines me to asking questions and sometimes representing the views of others but never my own opinion. Otherwise, I have views about SADA, about GYEEDA and about whether or not Ghana should sign up for the EPA. I have an opinion on Nana Addos declaration to contest the flagbearership of his party. But alas! my opinions will remain in the confines of my monologues . In another development, I walk into a pharmacy shop to get some medicine for my sore throat. The attendant, looks up, identifies me and dishes out a large grin from ear to ear. Can I get something to clear my sore throat please? I ask. Of course she replies with glee. She then proceeds to fetch some medicines with names so strange that even the SPELLING B quiz master would struggle to pronounce. 120 Ghana cedis sir she says. For a minute, I thought she wasnt talking to me until I realised that I was the only one in the shop with her. Did you say 12 Ghana Cedis? No sir, I said 120 Ghana cedis says she. What I am suffering from is a sore throat, not throat cancer. At this point, I realised my bill was determined by my face. I stormed out and bought original hacks: from Hajia Fuleras table top shop at Zongo Junction for 50 Pesewas!!
