THE WISE ONE There was a man who had a problem. He was not happy. He had everything that anyone could have but he was always filled with an empty feeling. He was a sincere man, he obeyed everything that the elders told him and the result was that he felt unhappy. He could not find the reason so he turned to books, he read about strange things , that you have to renounce everything, he renounced everything, and yet he could not find any happiness. Slowly, it dawned upon him that everything that anyone was telling was clearly wrong, at least the way he had understood it. He started fresh. With his own mind, heart and soul, he looked within, he entered a kingdom, what he had vaguely heard as the kingdom of god… He found strange mix of things in him, strange desires, all unfulfilled…he suddenly was urged from within to really understand things, he felt, he was all at sea, but suddenly in that confused , but real touch with himself, he began to be hit by a strange sense of joy, completely new to him, he was happy without reason,…. He asked, looked, questioned and now read, sharply, deeply and he found the answers and the answers made him laugh in utter bitterness and joy…. The truth was that , he finally discovered, HE was the answer, he was the end, his mind was all that was his tool and the exercise of it was all that he needed to be happy…. He was happy now, he went on and on…he found the great truths in philosophy, history, earth science, music….he hungered for knowledge, eh did not search really, he went on discovering things…. He became truly productive, he composed songs nobody had ever heard, because they were completely his, he painted and his strokes were stark, clear, luminous, he became a great teacher, telling all through allegories, stories, facts about the world,.. He was no nonsense about the things he talked about . the people listened struck by this man, awed and quiet they became , their lives were infinitely enriched , they found the same happiness that he had found, the same power…they called him a prophet, and the wise one… His name spread, a strange man he was and had become, a man who belonged to modern times and yet was timeless. He brought in a new dawn…
