THE WORLD IS CURRENTLY LAME AT THE BEAUTIFUL GATE BEGGING FOR ALMS, THE CHURCH /CHRISTIAN IS EXPECTED TO BE LIKE PETER, TO OFFER A GIFT WHICH OTHERS DO NOT OFFER. The world is currently lame at our beautiful gate, she is begging for alms because she thought at least with that she can survive but lo and behold many Christian/ Churches are only giving alms when what she needs for her permanent solution is ‘In The Name of Jesus Christ Of Nazareth Rise Up and Walk’, several men, Pastors, Workers, Church members etc, at least those that were coming to the temple were professed Christian, they have continued to give only alms, when with them lies the permanent solution to lameness. The lame man has continued to collect alms for several years at the beautiful gate, today there are several men and women, including the world herself who are lame at the beautiful gate but unfortunately they are being giving only alms when what they need is greater than physical alms. This account of Peter in (Acts 3:1- 8) specifically illustrate and clearly states the responsibility of a Christian / Church which is for her offer to the lame world a different gift which is greater and different from those which had been offered to the world since inception. The man at the beautiful gate had been lame just like our current world, almost every day is disaster, terrorism, Hostage taken, violence etc, the world is currently lame at the beautiful Gate. In all these places the world keep giving aids, while this is good to help our brethren and friends, but the Church has a higher responsibility which is to offer permanent solution to all these lameness, we are to declare strength into the lame world. Peter never had silver and gold in his time because the main responsibility of the Church is not Treasury, Banking, or Stock exchange and that was why he could make the man to know what he can offer, as long as the Church is continuing to tell the world by her action and inaction that he has silver and gold, it may be difficult for her to be a solution to the lameness of the world. The sinners comes with burden of sin in their heart, to our beautiful game, lame with sin and tumult of life instead for us to offer him/her the way of salvation, what most people offers now is the same alms he/she has been getting from Business Schools and seminars on “WEALTH CCREATION PRINCIPLE”, THE LEADERSHIP NUGGETS, DON’T BE POOR AGAIN etc, all these are alms, no matter how you give the person, he continued to be in his/her state of sin and lameness and is doomed to hell. Therefore, today what the world expect from us is not for us to give them alms only but to show them the way of salvation and to declare the power and the grace of God for them to know. The solution which the Church has to offer the world is not Money, Fame , Cars or Seminars etc but a declaration of righteous preaching, hot piercing sermons, manifestation of the power of God etc these are things money cannot buy. The world is begging for alms because it thought the Church is also like others but we are the one to declare to them that“ Silver and Gold we have not “ but today it is almost becoming a reverse, sometimes it is even the Church that will say “I have enough Silver and Gold” where did she gets it? Until we become like Peter, declaring Holiness and make people to know that the main essence of the Church is not to offer silver and Gold but greater than that, we may become irrelevant, as we shall have competitors then, since what we offer others offers too. We are currently in our state of dormancy and normalcy because we have relegated ourselves to the same state the world find herself, the ministry of the apostles was greatly established and the Bible says they were jumping and leaping and praising God; and thousands were saved after the encounter; if today you and I will offer something different from money and fame and will offer real gospel and power of God, we can be sure that the Church will recapture her lost territory. The World is seriously lame with so many challenges; but we have the permanent solution why giving the temporal solution of giving alms; let the Church return to its position just like peter; to preach heart piercing sermon and not exciting oratory shouting to save those who are lame with sin; Let the Church manifest the power of God to the lame world and not to just be lecturing her; let the Church earn her leadership by offering what everyone has never offered; Then the Church can raise her head like peter and declare Jesus to the Pharisees and Sadducees of this generation and thousands will be saved. TAKE TIME TO THINK ON THIS; IF WE ARE ONLY OFFERING JUST WHAT THE WORLD CAN OFFER TO THE WORLD; THEN WHAT IS OUR RELEVANCE. Earnestly Contending For The Faith.
