THE WORLD IS PASSING AWAY In the contemporary time, the accelerative thrust of change has shriveled peoples value judgment. It has also cracked the insistence on morality and permanence. Thus, the perilous time is here. So, St. John admonished the believers: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1John 2:15-17 Beloved, are we still standing on Christ the solid rock of the old time religion, or the sensual Christianity of this present age? Unfortunately, gratifying sensual appetite ruins thousands of precious souls. To check your spiritual pulse and temperature, ask yourself: 1) if a child of God, why so careless and carnal? (2) if not a child of God, why so afraid of, or burdened by sin? If you are committing sins with impunity, know that you have totally drifted to the world, but you are a child of God if the spirit still convicts you whenever you go wrong. Finally beloved, people are ruined not in so much of doing what is amiss as by doing it and refuse to repent of it. The world is passing away, lets repent to save our dear lives.
