THE WORLD OF COMMAND Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. I am willing,he said .Be clean! Immediately the leprosy left him and hr was cured. Mk 1:41-42 NIV A man once had a severe cut on his hand which his doctor treated.In a week or two it was completely healed.A few months later the man was back at the doctors room with another medical need.The doctor asked, Hows the hand? The man replied, I couldnt believe how quickly it healed - its perfect. The doctor smiled and said, Yes,every day we watch the healing power of nature.Its just amazing. Jesus spoke and the leper was cleansed.The skin was returned to normal.He was better. That wasnt medicine.It wasnt science.It wasnt nature.It was God.There is no need to look for some explanation that in the end says it was normal.The only normal end for leprosy was death.Here was a miracle of the first order.A man was in need.He was desperate.He was on the road to death.He through of the mercy of Jesus Christ,trusting him to bring zbout a miracle cure.He did.Glory to God! It is as simple as that.And that miraculous event can only be understood or explained by faith.He who could rise from death,and raise the dead,raised this man from his living death.He was Lord of life and death. Christ is still Lord of life and death.People still cast themselves on his mrcy,grace and power and look to him for healing.We do not understand miracles - they wouldnt be miracles if we did.But we know that Christ is powerful.And he is still filled with compassion. Lord,your mmiraculous power is amazing.Increase my faith.
