For the customs of the people are vain:…” Jeremiah 10:1 - 3 “ Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.” Jeremiah 18:13 “Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.” Lamentations 1:3 “ And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you.” Ezekiel 11:12 Israelites must make up their minds as to what they want and what they want to do in respect to being the Servants of the Most High GOD of Israel. “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” Isaiah 43:21
