THE YWCA OF THE SOLOMON ISLANDS NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT! ywca.org.au/support-us/donations Last week, the worst flooding the Solomon Islands has ever seen in the capital Honiara has claimed the lives of 23 people and left 9,000 homeless. Sadly, we have been informed this includes the eldest son of one of the Board members from the YWCA of the Solomon Islands. The flood has also badly affected and in some cases totally destroyed the homes of YWCA members in the region. YWCA Australia is collecting donations to provide material assistance to everyone who has lost their homes and provide vital assistance to the YWCA of the Solomon Islands so they can continue to support their communities during this difficult time.
