THE new Fiji Football Association season is set to kick off with the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League super premier competition on November 10. The new 2013/2014 season is aligned to the Oceania Football Confederation and FIFA domestic calendar. National Football League board secretary Amitesh Pal said eight teams would be involved in the super premier division. He said Ba, Nadi, Suva and Labasa would play two rounds of matches before flying out for the Pacific Cup in Auckland, New Zealand. We are planning to start the National Football League for the premier division in late November, Pal said. The Fiji FA has released its calendar for the season. The National Club Championships zonal play-offs will be played from December 7 to December 8. The Southern Division play-offs will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. The Western Division playoffs will be held at Govind Park in Ba. The National Club Championship final will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park from December 15 to December 16. Nadi and Ba face off in the Champion versus Champion home and away series in January. The first round of the Fiji FACT will be played at the ANZ Stadium in Suva in May. The tournament proper will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park. The first round of the Battle of the Giants will be held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi in June with the tournament then shifting to Govind Park in Ba.
