THE trial of a Muslim woman accused of intimidating a witness came to a sensational halt yesterday after the defendant refused to remove her veil in front of a male judge. Judge Peter Murphy ordered the woman to drop the full-face covering so he could confirm her identity. But the devout 21-year-old rejected his demands saying she would not let any men look at her uncovered face for religious reasons. Judge Murphy was forced to adjourn the trial at Blackfriars Crown Court in London for three weeks so he could decide whether or not to compel the defendant to reveal her face. What are your views ? I personally believe she should be forced to remove the burka whilst appearing in a British court of law ~Ian~
