THEE MANAGERS CHOICE…. Ealing used to be the centre of the UK Musical Universe-FACT! My band get really bored by me pointing out classic musical landmarks when we drive back into Ealing after a late night.One day Ill get my camera out and give you guys a little tour.Anyway being a chemically addled old hippy you wont be surprised by my theories surrounding my love of Du Bellows and theory that their musical genius is due to a cosmic portal that is dormant and open hovering over Have Green,W5. Apart from the fact that The Who were born in this vicinity, Syd Barrett (Official) played one of his most legendary gigs down the road, The Rolling Stones formed nearby, Led Zeppelin Official, Deep Purple (1968-1976) rehearsed here and Freddie Mercury went to art school here-slot of great talent lived here. Cate Le Bon is not from Ealing but Mick Bevan who sent me this link is and he was also in an amazing local band back in the day called The Decorators. They were our very own Iggy And The Stooges, The Psychedelic Furs, Roxy Music, The Velvet Underground. I love this Cate Le Bon track for its simplicity,emotion and heart.I also love the way they utilise the background noise an seem unpeterbed by the rain. Have A Beautiful Weekend… MUSIC IS THE MESSAGE
