THERE ARE NO BAD IDEAS SATURDAY, 15TH NOVEMBER, 2014. QUOTE OF THE DAY: “FROM A POOL OF OPINIONS, WISDOM EMERGES” ANCHOR TEXT: “Let our lord command his servants here to search for someone who play the harp. He will play when the evil spirit from God comes upon you, and you will feel better 1 Samuel 16:16. There is a strong tendency that one will either dismiss or find fault with other peoples opinion especially if it does not fall in line with ones belief. In a situation like this, one feels smug, the other person feels diminished, and nothing is learnt. There are no bad ideas. Every idea contains a grain of truth, and has some merits, especially if you are looking for merit, rather than looking for errors. This is the reason corporate organizations, institutions have boards and senate respectively. Board members or senate as the case may be, will have to come together in a meeting. At this level, every member contributes his or her own idea towards the progress of the organization. No suggestion, contribution is regarded as inferior by whoever is moderating in such meeting. In the same vein, everyone has and is entitled to his/her own opinion. Opinion may vary from one individual to another as a result of our different perspective of things. However, that is not a good reason to condemn someones idea. There is a limit to how far your dimesworth knowledge and idea can go. Hence, the need to welcome ideas from others. For instance, sending for a skillful harp player that will play for king Saul with the belief that it will calm his tension was an idea of an ordinary servant in the palace. Interestingly, Saul did not throw the idea away. He embraced it! Are you in the habit of criticizing, faulting or condemning other peoples points of view over a matter? This is not the best. A second look at an idea that seems worthless may eventually bring a ray of light to a complex situation at hand. Never condemn an idea before the person that suggest it. This kills initiative. As a leader, accept all ideas, take your time to evaluate it in the light of the prevailing situation. An idea impatiently discarded now might be an illuminations to tomorrows problem. God bless you. Enjoy your days! PROPHETIC ACTION FOR THE DAY HOLD A KEY IN YOUR HAND AND PROCLAIM: I RECEIVE THE KEY TO MY BREAKTHROUGH. PRAYERS FOR THE DAY Lord Jesus, give me a large heart and grace for patience. I command the afflictions of wrong decision, impatience and shortsightedness to die to the root in my life. I receive extraordinary grace to see beyond the present. FURTHER STUDY: 1 Samuel 16:14-23. Read the Bible through in one year: 1 Chronicles Chapters 4:24 – 6:81; Proverbs Chapters 26:15 – 28. Remember to further prophesy on yourself!
