THERE IS NO TELL THEM IN THE BUSINESS OF PREACHING The first word that made a definite impression in me this morning as I picked my bible to study is Likewise (1Tim.3:8). In First Timothy chapter three, the first seven verses which I have been studying since January 5, had been on what is expected of a bishop or pastor in a church. It is possible, somebody has been reading those messages with this It-does-not-co ncern-me attitude and dismissing them with Tell Them. To buttress the fact that those messages are not only for the bishops, Paul began verse 8 with Likewise. As with bishops, so also all church workers and members. Even as a preacher, never preach with the Tell Them attitude. It kills your message instantly. Its like a dead on delivery thing - a kind of still birth. When Gods message comes, it is for all including the preacher. It tells the preacher first. All I write here is first to tell myself and then you. That is the way it works.....
