#THE_SIX_ARTICLES_OF_FAITH In Islam, faith is divided into six major categories. 1. IMAAN BILLAH (Believe in the One and Only true God):- A Muslim must bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. He is the provider and sustainer and He Alone has power over all His creatures. 2. IMAAN BIL MALAAIKAH (Believe in the Angels):- A Muslim must believe that Angels exist and he/she must believe in all of them. Despite the fact that they cannot be seen while we are lively (since the death of seal of prophet hood) prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The only Angel that can be seen is MALAKUL-MAUT (The Angel who takes souls). Only the person whoes soul will be take can see him. But we must believe they exist. And they do ONLY that which Allah commands them to do. 3. IMAAN BIL RUSUL (Believe in the messengers):- Every messenger is a prophet but not all prophets were messengers. So a Muslim must believe in all of them, even though he/she has never seen them. 4. IMAAN BIL KITAAB (Believe in the divine scriptures) :- A Muslim must believe that Allah sent down Books to the Prophets. He sent down the Torah to Moosa (Moses), He sent down the Gospel to ‘Eesa (Jesus), He sent down the Zaboor to Dawood (David), He sent down Scripture (Suhuf) to Ibraaheem, as He said (interpretation of the meaning): “The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Moosa (Moses)” [al-A ‘la 87:19]. And finally, He sent down the QURAN to the last and final messenger Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Undoubtedly all of that is the words of Allah that He spoke, and these words include His laws and His commands and prohibitions. But the Quran contains all the originally revealed books I.e The Torah, Injil, Zaboor. Therefore it is sufficient to pick only the Quran. But believing that the originally revealed are also from Allah. 5. IMAAN BIL YAUMAL QIYAAMA (Believe in the last day):- A Muslim must believe that he/she shall all be brought back on the day of judgement to account for our worldly deeds. Afterwards people of Paradise will go to Paradise and the people of hell will go to hell. May Allah safe us from hellfire. 6. IMAAN BIL QADR SHARRIHI WA KHAIRIHI (Believe in destiny, good and bad):- A Muslim most also believe that what so ever Allah has predestine for you, must surely come to pass. So both good and bad decree are from Allah. But you can be the SABAB (reason/cause) of your destiny. Because Allah gave each and everyone of us MASHIIA and IRAAD (wills and power to execute our wills) . Finally, A Muslim must believe in all the above articles of faith before he/she will be a true believer. May Allah keep us steadfast in Islam and may our IMAAN increase on daily bases. Amin...... #MK
