THIS!! 100xthis: The mistake most of us make when discussing theology is thinking that if someone disagrees with us then they must be wrong because we are right, or, if they are right, then we must be wrong. However, when it comes to our ideas and theology of God, I think in most cases, were both wrong. Were a funny breed, really. We find it so easy to believe we understand God (the creator of the universe--the cosmic sized Deity--the One who has a cosmic sized Eternal Plan he is outworking according to his own timing and purposes) to such a precise degree we can claim we know we are right. To claim we know, without a shadow of a doubt, the full reality of God and all his ways. It is a liberating feeling to accept youre most likely wrong about a whole bunch of things you believe about God. It gives you the liberty to have rich, enjoyable discussions with other who see things differently, without the need to prove them wrong, nor justify that you are right. It becomes about expressing your thoughts, and how you came to such conclusions, more than trying to prove your thoughts are the absolute truth. - Mick Mooney
