THIS COULD CHANGE THE COURSE OF THE ELECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The power of the Pen is the Power of the People! (And the republicans will not know what hit them till after the election.) When you get a handwritten letter, you read it, if only to figure out who would take the time to write a letter to you. Many democrats do not know the importance of the midterm elections, and many democrats typically stay home. This is a GOTV strategy that could really make the difference. This letter writing campaign targets people that voted in ‘08 and ‘12 but not ‘10 in targeted races. Democrats both male and female will log in to a website and pull a list of twenty names and addresses and write personal letters explaining the importance of this election. When Durham Democratic Women did this in 2012: Over 74% OF THE ONES CONTACTED WENT TO THE POLLS AS OPPOSED TO 41% OF THOSE NOT CONTACTED. Let’s look at an example: If there are 25 democrats in a particular auxiliary in 75 counties that wrote 40 letters = 75,000 letters. What do you say Demo Men? Demo Women? African American Caucus? or ? If 50 people do it in all 100 counties (40 letters) = 200,000 letters.
