THIS GUY IS SPECIAL - LOOK AT THAT SMILING FACE EVEN IN A DESPERATE SITUATION. HES SMART, SUPER SWEET, FRIENDLY, AND IN BIG TROUBLE. He was picked up in Fontana by an animal control officer and taken to a shelter vet in San Bernardino. When the ACO was processing paperwork at the vet he told the dog to sit…and he did. The dog stayed in the sit position the whole time even with other people and animals in the waiting room. Its possible this pup was hit by a car. He has a break in his left rear leg. He can not bear weight on the leg…it just kind of dangles. He is eating drinking and pooping just fine! He is PROPERTY OF THE HIGH-KILL SAN BERNARDINO CITY SHELTER but is at the vet. The vet wont x-ray the leg because the shelter wont pay for it. Without an x-ray they cant do anything for the leg. We need to help this dog get the care he needs. The shelter will keep him alive until his stray hold is up and then they will have him killed rather than pay for treatment. Thats where we come in! We need a home/foster/rescue for this guy. If we can raise only $93 they can do the x-ray. If we can raise more they can actually help this pup so he can go home all fixed up and out of pain and discomfort. Please HELP!! NOTE: The shelter called this dog a Swiss Hound (no way…I looks at the pix). The vet called this dog a Bernese Mountain Dog…closer than Swiss Hound!
