Media Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sept 2, 2014 The updated numbers of Registered Voters from The State of Arizona Voter Registration Report compiled and issued on Aug 22, 2014 by the Secretary of State has ground breaking news for the Republican race in LD 29. Numbers from the 2012 election left LD 29 a majority Democrat district with 26,630 “Active Democrat Voters.” As of Aug. 22, 2014 report, “Other Voters (Independents)” are now in the majority in LD 29 with 28,091 “Active Voters.” The final Primary vote count in LD 29 reported on Aug. 30, 2014 County Recorder’s Office web site had Republican Aaron Borders (exercising the “single shot strategy”) getting the most votes with 3,770 votes. He will now face opponents Richard Andrade who received 2,933 votes and Ceci Velasquez who received 2,843 votes The Aaron Borders for Arizona Team feel that with the new demographics in LD 29 combined with the “single-shot strategy,” their chances of winning a seat in November has just seriously increased. Upon learning of these new numbers Mr. Borders stated, “This is exciting news! This is a game changer, a Republican representing LD 29 isn’t such a wild idea!” He then went on, “I know elections all come down to math, I feel like I am the most suited out of all of the candidates to represent LD 29 but it comes down to having the numbers to win. We now can confidently say that as long as we can reach the Independents in our district, then yes we can win. It will come down to our team raising enough money to get our message out to the Independents in our district and of course getting the Republicans to go to the polls and vote.” Obviously the Aaron Borders for Arizona camp are not the only one who see these numbers. Union Goons reportedly have already tried their intimidation tactics on Mr. Borders and his family. They reportedly egged, paint-balled his house, and sent him death threats over his campaign web site. It is obvious they feel a sense of urgency. According to an inside Democrat source, and Campaign Finance Reports, in a typically secure Democrat district that is commonly not canvased and money is not usually spent, the Unions and the Democrat party have sent over 350 people to walk the district for their Democrat candidates. They also have already dumped in over $8,000 into Richard Andrade’s campaign. Not to mention Planned Parenthood has sent out an e-blast and has held ‘meet and greets’ to raise money for them as well. This November could bring a big shift in the make-up of who is sent to the Capitol to represent LD 29.
