THIS IS MY OPINION, FEEL FREE TO COMMENT YOURS. Wedding meetings contribution is one of those scenarios where u ought to give without expecting return (on yr giving) and also making sure when your right hand gives the left doesnt get to know about it! I mean someone calls u for the first time after a decade, during which time some of your messages went unreplied, not mentioning the rude greeting you were given when you accidentally bumped into them along Kampala road, the pure lack of interest in things that concern u! Well yr old friend calls you, informs you about his/her wedding and is very open bambi about his need for your contribution usually monetary. He goes ahead to remind you twice or thrice a week to attend his meetings, he may also call during this time. Decide contribute or not to; hehe you will discover who you are dealing with! U may or not be appreciated depending on how courteous yr friend is. And please dont sulk if not invited ( it was your contribution not yr presence the caller wanted). They didnt invite because they forgot............HOW??????? Note to self: *Keep relevant to yr friends ... call then, visit them, know how they are faring at least every once in a while. *please its bad manners not to thank when someone sacrifices something for yr big day. Even if its small for you dont know what strings they had to pull to come up with what you call small. * out of courtesy invite every one who contributed towards your big day. * N to the donor, JUST GIVE * dont promise what u cant afford And to every one out there, I think there is nothing wrong with doing a wedding within ones means. By the way, am whinning because I wasnt able to contribute to every friend that reached out to me, I was broke some months and other times I just refused to be used and dumbed after. For those that felt I gave them too little one day God will reveal to u why!
