► THIS IS NOT TV! ► JOAL live presentation 2013 How it was made: Every track is divided in 16 channels (Kick, clap, hihat closed, hihat open,Shaker, Percussion 1, Perc2, Perc3, bassline, synth/chords, Stabs, Vocal, Pad, Fx, Nord Rack 1, Nord Rack 2) on Ableton Live 9. APC 40 is controlling 8 tracks and the Ipad is controlling the other 8. Drehbank is controlling Delay, Cutoff Filter, Reverb and Beat repeat on/of (and cutoff filter of the repeat) for all the 16 channels. 2 of those knobs are also controlling delay time and beat repeat time for all the channels. All those 16 channels are grouped in 8 return tracks that are mapped to the the 8 faders of Apc 40. Maschine is responsible for all the rhythm except for the shaker, Percussion 1 and Percussion 2 (does are audio clips previously recorded). The Nord Rack is responsible for the majority of the basslines and chords. The 8 knobs of the APC are controlling master reverb, filter cutoff, master beat repeat, master delay time, master delay dry/wet and master flanger. 2 knobs of the upper side of the APC are controlling the volume of the Nord Rack. All the channels have eqs, compression and the master bus have an eq and a glue compressor. ► CATCH JOAL LIVE!
