THIS IS ONE OF THE HARDEST POSTS I HAVE EVERY HAD TO WRITE We lost our darling beautiful Heather tonight. this morning she was full of life her future secure with a wonderful new home waiting for her, she ate her lunch and tea as usual with great gusto, and we nipped out to get our own tea. When we returned she was dead, no warning, nothing. We are all devastated, the other dogs are quiet and subdued. Our hearts are ripped out. From coming out of the pound with her brothers and sisters at a day old with their mother suffering with parvo virus we never dreamed any of them would survive, but Heath and Heather were fighters, they were our little miracle puppies and we were so proud of them there was never any question we would choose them to be our pups for the Pedigree Adoption Drive. We were so over joyed to be chosen, the prize money an amount we could only dream of. This last few weeks has been truly amazing, the support we have felt from our friends and supporters overwhelming. The few weeks Heather was in our lives we loved her and cared for her but this devastating event has made us even more determined than ever to carry on what we do and use the money wisely to help the dogs that come into our care in the best way we can. The wonderful family that were to be her new family are devastated as we are, but wish to give Heath a wonderful home and love him forever in memory of his sister. Run to the bridge, to your brothers and sisters little one. Everyone here at Lilys misses you.
