THIS IS OUR MOMENT | Today, Tonya and I spent the day with Mr. Nakia Douglas and the amazingly brilliant Brothers at the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy in the Dallas ISD in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Douglas and Mr. Johnathan Mitchell, Executive Director of the Greater Dallas Community Development Corporation met with us today and have agreed to serve on the steering committee for the My Brothers Keeper DFW Community Challenge. With over 65% of the students at BOMLA from a single parent household and 73% meet the economically disadvantaged standards for free lunch, yet students continue to Excel Beyond the expectations. Congratulations to Mr. Douglas and the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy for becoming the first official White House My Brothers Keeper Campus in the DFW Region. Our goal is to support their efforts for a new state of the art campus. Mr. Douglas is one of the guest speakers at the White House My Brothers Keeper Community Action Summit on December 6th in Fort Worth, Texas. I AM MY BROTHERS KEEPER. dallasisd.org/Domain/634
