THIS IS SO IMPORTANT! Smuggling anything other than North Korean media into NK is so important in the fight against their government. The people are forced to take in propaganda that makes them think that the way they are living is the only way of life. When North Korean citizens are able to view movies from the outside world they realize that things are different- that there is hope for a better life. The more people that realize this, the more likely the regime could fall someday. Im starting to think that the only way things can change in NK is if the people uprise. Movies like The Interview (though I havent seen it yet) will hit SO CLOSE TO HOME. Its unlike anything they have ever viewed before. Mission Impossible or whatever films they have managed to see have been a good start but a movie that is a COMPLETE contradiction to what they have been raised to believe in will be a shock. To us, the movie is getting mixed reviews. It wasnt that funny, or Some of the jokes were a miss.... To North Koreans, the purpose of the film is what they will be paying attention too. How could anyone ever make a movie about their Dear Leader like that? It may be confusing even...but itll get people to think. If this gets over it will be big. Now we just need to think about the repercussions from the government. Ohhhhhhh boy. Everything always has pros and cons.
