Barkan and Nino Provenzano, will read from their new poetry books—respectively, Raisins with Almonds / Pàssuli cu mènnuli, and Tornu (Return)—published by Legas in 2013, while folksinger Michela Musolino will, with musical accompaniment by Michael Delia, perform a medley of Sicilian folksongs. Gaetano Cipolla, editor/publisher of Legas will introduce the program. and read some of the poems in Sicilian in Barkan’s book. The poems will be read in both English and Sicilian. The books will be on exhibit and for sale for $15.00 each or at a special price of $25.00 for both. The poetry & song part of the evening’s event will take about an hour and a half. Menu a prezzo fisso for $35 (which includes tax and gratuity and fee for the musical program).
