THIS STATUS IS COPIED & PASTED from I dont need Feminism! I THINK ITS A NICE COMEBACK TO SO-CALLED Rape Culture Street Harassment. :D So Im sure that most of you have seen the viral video of the woman walking the streets of NYC for 10 hours that is meant to highlight street harassment. If not, the video can be found here: youtu.be/b1XGPvbWn0A I want to express my gratitude to the gentlemen of Model Pranksters for taking the time to create this video highlighting the other side of the story, which is men experiencing street harassment. This is yet another example of an issue (non-issue) that feminists formulate as a womens issue (non-issue) when in reality, yet again, it is a HUMAN issue (non-issue). As a side note that I would like to make about street harassment, I often hear feminists claim that street harassment is a common source of fear for women that somehow contributes to a culture of violence against women, or something. Yet the video of the woman walking for 10 hours supposedly documents 100+ instances of street harassment, but not one incident of any form of physical assault. You would think that, with a sample size of 100+ instances of street harassment, we would see at least one example of the physical danger that this supposed harassment puts women in, but not once is the womans life or bodily autonomy threatened. I also have yet to see any sort of research that links street harassment to physical assault. Interesting indeed. Thanks for the video, Chris! - Jessica
